Trenitalia France is significantly expanding its high-speed offer on the Paris–Lyon corridor, increasing weekday frequencies from nine to 14 roundatrips starting from 14 December 2025.
The Paris–Lyon uplift represents a 55% increase in weekday capacity, meaning Trenitalia will be operating more than one-third of services on one of Europe’s busiest routes.
This expansion is part of Trenitalia France’s broader growth strategy, which also includes four daily Paris–Marseille services, and twice-daily on the Paris-Milan route.
New Frecciarossa trains
Trenitalia has also been testing Frecciarossa 1000 trains on the route, offering over 900 seats per service.
“By expanding our offer on France’s busiest high-speed corridor, we are confirming Trenitalia’s long-term commitment to the French market,” said a spokesman from the company.
Tickets went on sale yesterday (15 September) for travel through to mid-March 2026, starting from €23.
Trenitalia opened its sales for the winter today (15 Sep) for their direct daily trains from Paris to the Alps
