SNCF have announced that a new low cost TGV service will connect Paris to Bourg-Saint-Maurice this winter.
Trains will start from 17 December 2020 and run to 29 March 2021, and will also connect with Grenoble and Albertville.
From Charles de Gaulle Airport to Bourg St Maurice
From December Ouigo trains will run between Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, Marne-la-Vallée and Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Fares will be low-cost, with tickets available from €10 for adults and €5 for children.
Until the end of the service in March 2021, the daily train will undertake a round trip from Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle and Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
Lyon, Grenoble and Tarentaise all served
The route will serve Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Grenoble, Albertville, Moûtiers-Salins and Aime-la-Plagne before finishing in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
SNCF have confirmed that it wants to
“democratize access to the mountains, to its sports and to its cultural activities in winter”.
Bookings available from 19 November
Trains are scheduled to depart at 09:40 on weekdays and 06:32 on weekends, returning at 1537 weekdays and 14:35 on Saturday and 15:37 on Sunday.
Reservations will begin on 19 November 2020 from the Ouigo site.
