Collecting organic waste
The ‘biocycle’ is a carbon-free way of collecting organic waste produced by local restaurants and hotels in Morzine, Les Gets and Montriond.
The waste is collected using a electrically-assisted bicycle with trailer capable of carrying 250kg of bio-waste to a nearby methane plant.
It’s an environmentally-friendly vehicle, which limits motorized traffic in the town centre, creates social ties, jobs and new interactions with the local community.
