Environmental organization Mountain Riders has officially renewed Les Arcs’ Flocon Vert certification.
It confirms the resort’s place among a select group of Alpine destinations recognized for their commitment to sustainable mountain tourism based on 20 strict criteria in environmental and social sustainability.
‘On the path to excellence’
Les Arcs has the rare distinction of having been awarded two ‘Green Snowflakes’ – rated by Mountain Riders as ‘on the path to excellence’
First certified in 2020, Les Arcs/Bourg Saint Maurice has been a leader in mountain sustainability, with measures ranging from low-impact transport to biodiversity conservation.
Driving Sustainable Change in the Alps
Les Arcs was the first resort in the Savoie region to receive Flocon Vert certification. It represents a collective effort involving the local municipality, tourist office, regional tourism stakeholders and Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry mountain management.
