The appetite for action on climate change within the travel industry is growing quickly.
Business travel specialists TripActions has taken the decision to provide its customers with data on the CO2 emissions, to enable them to make better decisions in relation to their travel choices.
Minimising environmental impact the single most important factor
A recent survey by the company showed that 80% of travellers are ‘very or somewhat concerned about the impact of business travel on the environment’ and 61% say it is important for their employer to offset their business travel.
Looking purely at responses in Europe, minimising environmental impact was ranked as the single most important factor of a business travel booking service.
Attitudes to travel are changing fast
