Vans For Bands are offering British skiers a fun, super-comfortable and eco-friendly way to drive to their ski holiday this winter.
As you might guess, Vans For Bands specialise in providing…vans for bands. Most of the year, their fleet of over 70 vehicles transport thousands of acts to festivals and gigs across Europe.
But the good news for British skiers is that their ‘off season’ is the winter, which means that you can now rent one of the luxurious vans to drive to your ski holiday from just £1020.
Vans accommodate up to 9 people
The vans can accommodate up to 9 people, so they are a brilliant option for groups or large families.
No longer do you have to worry about squeezing the whole family – and all your ski kit – into the car, as the back of the vans are equipped with two facing rows of three comfortable and spacious seats.
Between them is a table for card games and a multimedia system with two large screens, so everyone gets a good view the movie!
Plus there is more luggage space than you’ll ever need for a ski holiday as the ‘boot’ is massive, having been designed to fit huge drum kits and speaker systems.
A (much) smaller carbon footprint than flying
Even better, you can travel with a clean eco conscience as the carbon footprint for nine people travelling works out at around 25% of the emissions generated if the group took flights instead.
According to calculations by Ski Flight Free , the carbon cost per person would be 65 kg/CO2e, compared with 250 kg/CO2e if you flew.
Vans from £200 per person per week
Prices are lowest in the early part of the season, with vans costing from just £1020 for a week in December or January, only increasing slightly to £1224 in March and April.
For Christmas or New Year, it’s fantastic value compared with flying as even with Eurotunnel, toll fees and diesel, the total cost works out at just over £200 per person – significantly less than the cost of a flight and transfer at a peak date.
