The new European Sleeper train service will open up Austria and the Italian Dolomites for UK skiers and snowboarders who want to travel by train.

The company has been operating a night train from Brussels to Prague via Amsterdam and Berlin since May 2023.

Overnight from Brussels to Innsbruck and Bolzano

This winter, they are adding a new night service, also from Brussels. The final destination is Venice, but skiers will be more interested in the stops along the way, which include Innsbruck in Austria and Bolzano in Italy (just 90 minutes from the Dolomites).

The service will launch on 05 February 2025 and operate twice a week during February and March. There may also be additional departures during half-term and over Easter.

Provisional Timetable

The only times confirmed to date show the night train will leave Brussels at 17:00, arriving in Munich at 07:00, before finally reaching Venice at 14:00.

We think that should bring it into Innsbruck at about 09:00 and Bolzano around 11:00 – perfect for skiers.

The return trip is provisionally scheduled to leave Venice at 15:00, which suggests it will pass through Bolzano at around 18:00 and Innsbruck at 20:00, arriving in Brussels at 11:00 the following morning.

Both arrival and departure from Brussels will be from Brussels Midi, making connections with Eurostar simple.
